Our Artists

  • Saskia Stapel

Growing up in a family of artists and scientists shaped my outlook on life. My early experiences influence my work today. I feel there are often contradictions to be found in life and it is these contradictions that inspire me. Since I was a small child I have been drawing and painting. As I got older, I took various art classes and met all kinds of artists. Having friends in the music and film industries shaped my ideas about all kinds of art. I find inspiration in Impressionism, Fauvism, also in fairy tales and music. Music plays an important role in my life and I like to collaborate with musician friends. My art often features narrative scenes of nature. The butterfly theme is important to me because it represents themes of strength and fragility. Through my work I aim to communicate various emotions, sometimes I try to capture the ineffable. I enjoy the freedom of painting, to create makes me happy.

  • Preston Smith

Artist Preston M. Smith (PMS) found himself cross-eyed and with no depth perception as a child. This was the "lens" through which he developed his unique visual perspective of the world, which he now shares as a painter. Before focusing completely on his visual artwork, Preston spent many years developing and expanding his creative mindset by acting professionally, touring and lead singing for a punk/ska band, and writing two novels as well as a collection of poetry and original paintings. All of this experience fed into his ability to access his creative voice and communicate his own experience. Over the years, Preston’s artwork has transitioned from moody pop surrealist paintings into vibrantly colorful, tactile, highly textured and almost "edible" abstract works. His mantra for his abstract work is "color, texture, beauty and decay", and his work has been an moving expression.

  • Roberto Fradale

  • Rachel Elizabeth

I am a British self-taught artist, currently residing in Bangkok, Thailand. I mainly work with acrylic paints and produce abstract creations.

I enjoy creating abstract paintings as ‘there is no right or wrong’! I also love creating abstracts because they are perceived so differently amongst people and make everyone feel or see something completely unique to them.

I am currently enjoying the creative process of experimenting and learning through trial and error when creating new artwork. I engage with new ideas and mediums to create unique, one off original pieces of art. I also create small series of paintings when I wish to pursue a technique or explore a subject more in depth.

  • Natan Cooper

All the attention and preoccupation of man is directed and concentrated in the body with all his senses and the world in which he is found, the picture seems to be complete and logical, The body is material and such is the world around us, nature. In such a reality when I am lacking I am not particularly happy, and when the downside is filled, I am happy, but this joy is momentary until the next flaw. Something in me did not agree with this pendulum of joy and frustration. This feeling did not allow me rest and gave rise to introspection and the search for who I really was. The person I am perhaps is something deeper that lived within me that I abandoned and ignored from all the years. In modern art and especially in abstract art we see very clearly the same frustration and the beginning of the search for the essence of this film in which we live.

She is influenced by artists such as Edvard Munch, Salvador Dali, Francis Bacon, and abstract expressionists such as Willem Dé Kooning.

  • Leonie Parry

I am an Australian artist and my journey began in 2005 when I discovered a hidden talent for painting while trying to add a personal touch to my home's walls. But the demands of life quickly put my artistic pursuits on hold. A few years later. that artistic urge hit me again and led me to establish a "Garage Gallery" where I sold my artwork most weekends.

In 2021, during the 111-day Covid lockdown, I found solace, sanity and purpose in painting and produced around 80 artworks. This prolific period allowed me to experiment with new techniques and bold colour combinations on larger canvases ranging from 50 to 150cms or 59x39”.

That experience revealed that art was my true calling, so I am now dedicated to creating art for the rest of my life. I especially love exploring both realism and abstraction, often merging the two worlds together to create captivating and thought-provoking pieces.

I am excited to share my artistic journey with art enthusiasts, collectors, and the wider art community, because each artwork I produce reflects another attempt to explore and achieve that balance between both thoughts and creativity.

Thank you for taking the time to explore my profile, and I hope my creations resonate with your appreciation for art.
